Mouse’s First Fall by Lauren Thompson

Daughter’s age when read: 3 years old

This was a fun and cute book to read. It’s part of a series of books that follows mouse through his first day of school, first fall, first day of snow, etc.  So far this has been my daughter’s favorite in the series. Mouse and Minka go out on a Fall day and have all sorts of fun with the Fall leaves.  They stack them up, jump in them, play hide and seek and more.  My daughter has this thing about leaves. She loves to pick them up,compare the shapes with each other, carry them around and give them as gifts to everyone.  Yes, if we come across you after being outside for awhile more than likely she will have a leaf to show you.  So not surprisingly she was engrossed by each page and each activity Mouse and Minka take part in. Of course it also leads to the questions like why do the leaves fall from the trees, why are the leaves all different colors…You know how it is with 3 year olds so be prepared to come up with some good answers.  This is definitely a series I would recommend checking out if you haven’t already.

I love the illustrations for this one! And I totally get the 20 questions, so hilarious! Fantastic review.
