Spooky Hour by Tony Mitton

Daughter’s age when read: 3 years old

I found this while going through the Halloween books at our local library.  It starts with the tower bell ringing twelve indicating the Spooky Hour.  From there it counts down witches, ghosts and more until they reach the spooky castle for spooky fun.  The illustrations in this book were really cute and there is a lot going on so lots of things to talk about with my daughter.  It’s also fun to read with the rhyming and the words.  Out of the four Halloween books I brought home from the library it was the only one she has asked to read each night and during the day.  Highly recommend this one.  It’s also a fun way to practice counting down from twelve.
