Brush, Brush, Brush! by Alicia Padron

Daughter’s age when read: 3 years old

This was a random book that my daughter picked out herself while we were browsing in the children’s area of the library.  It’s a really short book about brushing your teeth and according to the last page of it you can actually sing it to the tune of Do your ears hang low.  I honestly can’t remember most of that song so have not tried singing it to my daughter yet.  If I get motivated to go find out how the tune goes I may try it.  Still for the first two weeks we had this book checked out my daughter had added it to the bedtime routine.  I’m not sure if it’s related to her having just switched from the children’s toothpaste that you can swallow to “big girl” toothpaste that you need to spit out and rinse.  So she could relate to this story a lot.  This might be a good book to check out if you are starting to make that switch to brushing with actual toothpaste.  It only recently got pushed out of the bed time routine when we picked up a new Curious George book.
